Artist's Comments
The Chinese symbol for long, or "dragon". A symbol that represents 3 things:
1) It is a symbol of my race, and my culture. Dragons feature prominently in Chinese culture, even in the 21st Century.
2) The red background has 2 functions: Firstly, red is the colour for good luck and prosperity among the Chinese; Secondly, it represents the lifeblood that flows within us all, as inhabitants of this planet.
3) The word long is also very evocative of my obsession with dinosaurs, also known as kong long in Mandarin.
Done in good ol' MS Paint.
